1. Overview
This Seller Policy governs every merchant, restaurant, shop or service provider ("Seller") that operates a storefront on the VeviGoo marketplace. It applies alongside the Terms of Service, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Prohibited Products & Services Policy and the Marketplace Policy. By opening a VeviGoo storefront, you agree to abide by every requirement below.
2. Seller Onboarding
New sellers apply through the VeviGoo Seller App or seller.vevigoo.com. Onboarding requires:
- A valid Ghana Card, passport or driver's licence of the primary account holder
- Business name and registered address in Ghana
- Business Registration Certificate from the Registrar-General's Department (where applicable)
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) where applicable
- Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) tax clearance where required for the category
- For food sellers: FDA Ghana registration where required
- For regulated categories (alcohol, tobacco, pharmacy, etc.): a valid Ghanaian licence for that category
- Bank account or mobile-money wallet in the seller's or business's legal name for payouts
- One or more photographs of the storefront, product samples or workspace
- Contact phone number and email that VeviGoo can reach during business hours
3. Verification and Approval
Every seller application undergoes manual review by our Vendor Verification team before the storefront can go live. Verification typically takes 2–5 business days and includes:
- Identity match against the submitted ID document
- Cross-check of business details against Ghanaian company registries where applicable
- Review of storefront photos and product samples for authenticity
- Screening for prohibited products, restricted categories and reputational risk
- Confirmation that the payout account is in the same legal name as the seller entity
4. Product Approval and Moderation
Every product listing is reviewed before it goes live. VeviGoo may reject or remove any listing that:
- Falls within the Prohibited Products & Services Policy
- Misrepresents the product, its origin, quality or condition
- Uses another seller's photos, trademarks or copyrighted material without authorisation
- Contains misleading pricing, fake discounts or manipulated "was / now" prices
- Lists items the seller cannot deliver within stated preparation times
- Uses adult, sensational or otherwise inappropriate imagery
5. Seller Responsibilities
As a seller, you agree to:
- Fulfil every accepted order within the stated preparation time
- Maintain accurate stock levels — do not accept orders you cannot fulfil
- Package orders hygienically and securely, following FDA Ghana requirements for food where applicable
- Respond to customer messages, complaints and refund requests in good faith and within 24 hours
- Keep records of every order, invoice and refund for tax and audit purposes
- Comply with all Ghanaian consumer-protection, food-safety, labelling and pricing laws
- Notify VeviGoo immediately of any change in business ownership, address or licensed status
6. Refund and Dispute Cooperation
When a customer requests a refund, cancellation or complaint investigation, sellers must cooperate promptly. VeviGoo may issue a refund from the seller's future payouts where the investigation shows the seller is at fault (for example, wrong or missing items, spoiled food, quality below the listing description, or delayed dispatch). Sellers may appeal any refund decision by emailing vendors@vevigoo.com within 7 days.
7. Prohibited Seller Conduct
The following are grounds for immediate suspension and, on repeat offences, permanent removal:
- Listing any product that falls within the Prohibited Products & Services Policy
- Manipulating ratings — asking customers for fake reviews or paying for positive ratings
- Cancelling paid orders unilaterally to avoid low-margin sales
- Soliciting customers to transact off-platform in order to avoid VeviGoo fees
- Sharing customer personal data with third parties
- Repeatedly failing to fulfil orders within stated preparation times
- Submitting false or forged KYC documents
- Using the platform to launder funds or move value on behalf of unknown third parties
8. Payouts and Commission
VeviGoo currently charges 0% commission on seller transactions through July 2026. From August 2026, standard platform fees apply per category and are disclosed on your seller dashboard. Payouts run on a weekly cycle (every Monday) to your verified bank or mobile-money account, subject to a minimum payout threshold of GH₵ 20. VeviGoo may hold payouts for up to 30 days for new sellers or where an active investigation is under way, and will notify you in writing of any hold.
9. Ongoing KYC and Monitoring
VeviGoo may request updated KYC, business or tax documents at any time, particularly when transaction volumes, refund rates or complaint patterns change. Sellers must respond to KYC refresh requests within 14 days; failure to do so may result in the storefront being suspended until the refresh is complete.
10. Suspension and Removal
VeviGoo may suspend or permanently remove any seller who: violates the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy or this Seller Policy; submits false KYC information; has a chargeback or complaint rate above published thresholds; or engages in fraud, financial crime or illegal activity. Suspensions may be temporary (pending investigation) or permanent, and are communicated in writing with the reason and the appeal process.
