Marketplace Policy

Last updated: February 2026

How the VeviGoo marketplace works — the platform's role, payments on behalf of vendors, moderation, dispute handling and customer protection.

1. VeviGoo's Role

VeviGoo operates a technology marketplace that connects customers with independent sellers, restaurants, riders, drivers and couriers. VeviGoo is not the carrier of passengers, the merchant of any product listed by third-party sellers, nor the direct provider of any restaurant meal. Sellers, riders and drivers are independent operators; VeviGoo provides the technology, dispatch, payment processing, customer support and dispute-handling infrastructure that enables them to reach and serve customers.

2. Payments on Behalf of Vendors

VeviGoo may collect payments from customers on behalf of sellers, restaurants, riders, drivers and couriers. Collected funds are held in a regulated escrow / merchant-of-record account and settled to the underlying vendor on the payout schedule described in each vendor's specific policy (Seller Policy, Rider & Driver Policy, Investor Disclaimer). VeviGoo is not a bank, does not offer deposit accounts, and does not offer loans.

3. Service Fees and Commission

VeviGoo deducts a platform service fee and, where applicable, a commission from each transaction. The specific fee and commission structure is disclosed in each vendor category's policy and in the vendor dashboard. Customers see the total order price — inclusive of any service or delivery fee — before confirming payment.

4. Vendor Responsibility

Vendors are solely responsible for the products, services or trips they provide. VeviGoo is not liable for the quality, safety, legality or timeliness of any specific product, service or trip; however, VeviGoo enforces the platform policies below and takes moderation action against vendors who violate them. This does not remove or reduce any legal warranties or consumer-protection rights that Ghanaian law grants to customers.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

VeviGoo may, at its sole discretion:

  • Reject any vendor application that does not meet KYC or business-verification standards
  • Remove, edit or hide any product listing that violates the Prohibited Products & Services Policy
  • Suspend or permanently remove vendors who breach any VeviGoo policy
  • Withhold pending payouts to vendors under active investigation
  • Report suspected criminal activity to Ghana Police Service, the Financial Intelligence Centre, the Ghana Revenue Authority or any other competent authority
  • Cooperate with law-enforcement, regulator or payment-provider requests for information

6. Customer Protection

VeviGoo customers benefit from:

  • Transparent pricing shown before order confirmation
  • Live GPS tracking of every trip, delivery and courier job
  • Refund handling under the Refund Policy, with wallet credit issued instantly for confirmed cases
  • A dispute-resolution channel for every trip and order accessible in-app via "Report an issue"
  • Secure payment processing through PCI-DSS-compliant partners
  • Access to our Trust and Safety team for any safety-related concern

7. Dispute Handling

Customer complaints and vendor disputes are handled by our Trust and Safety and Vendor Support teams. Investigations typically include: review of trip / order records; GPS and dispatch logs; in-app chat transcripts; photographs and receipts; and, where relevant, statements from all parties. Most disputes are resolved within one business day. Either party may appeal a decision within 7 days by emailing compliance@vevigoo.com.

8. User-Generated Content

Customers may leave ratings, reviews or photographs of products and trips. VeviGoo does not screen every rating before publication but may remove content that: contains hate speech, harassment or discrimination; discloses another user's personal information; is defamatory or knowingly false; or violates the Community Guidelines. Vendors may respond to reviews but may not: post fake reviews, coerce customers to change reviews, or offer inducements in exchange for positive reviews.

9. Third-Party Services

VeviGoo integrates with third-party services including payment processors, mapping providers, communication services and analytics providers. Third-party services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. VeviGoo takes reasonable care in selecting partners but is not liable for actions or omissions of any third party outside our control.
